Relax & Explore

EPIC - a word that sums up Pembrokeshire perfectly. Epic scenery, epic adventures, epic attractions and epic experiences can all be found in Britain's only coastal National Park! Surrounded by water on three sides, this county's sandy beaches and coves are up there with the very best in the World, and were voted second in the National Geographic Traveller magazine's poll of the World's best coastal destinations.

With 52 glorious beaches in Pembrokeshire, from wide expanses of golden sands at Saundersfoot, Tenby, and Newgale, to cwtchy (cuddly) coves like Cwm yr Eglwys in the north of the county, including 10 Blue Flag and 7 Green Coast beaches. Take a stroll, fly a kite, build a sandcastle, rock pool to your heart's content, run with the dog, surf until you drop, try out coasteering - whatever takes your fancy.

Lonely Planet wrote that the Pembrokeshire Coast Path is one of the greatest long distance trails, so get those walking boots on, fill the flask and venture out! There are 186 glorious miles to discover, with some stretches for more experienced walkers, but lots of the coast path is accessible for all, including a portion accessible directly from Meadow House - why not give it a go?

Legends, heritage and folklore also abound, with historic castles such as Carew and Pembroke, Britain's own Stonehenge - Pentre Ifan, world renowned St Davids Cathedral, and Bishop's Palace. We also have historic Tenby with its colourful Georgian facades, two sandy beaches, and stunning harbour with trips to various islands including monastic Caldey Island, which is often featured on television.

Speaking of the islands, we have a wonderful variety of them in Pembrokeshire including Grassholm, Skomer, Skokholm, and Ramsey which are breeding grounds for Puffins, Guillemots and Choughs. A day trip to Skomer is highly recommended, especially in May when Puffins and wildflowers are in abundance!

For family fun, you have more than enough choice to fill your holiday from beginning to end! For Safari Style fun, Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo is simply magical, and consistently awarded Wales Best Day Out, as well as Manor Wildlife Park and Great Wedlock Farm & Deer Park. Nearby Heatherton World of Activities is also a fantastic family friendly day out featuring adventure golf, go karts, escape rooms, paintball, laser clay pigeon shooting, a treetop zip line trail, and so much more for people of all ages. And don't forget the Dinosaur Adventure Park!
